Nursing Homes Workshops
All our work follows a proven model of group storytelling sessions and personal writing. We always have a published outcome, whether it is booklet of small memories, a book of collected stories, or a personal memoir.
HOW DO WE WORK
In nursing homes, we work closely with Directors of Nursing and their Activities teams to create bespoke workshops for residents. We work with different groups, in some cases we help and facilitate personal lifewriting. For other groups, we work through active listening and guided storytelling; we record and transcribe life stories, which are available within the nursing home, and also for family and friends of the authors.
Sample Publications
Each workshop series culminates in the publication of a booklet of short stories or poems illustrating life stories. These booklets are available within the nursing home, and for family members and friends.
